In 2025 Domenick, was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. His treatment had been intense and relentless. He underwent a 14-hour Whipple surgery, followed by six months of chemotherapy, and endured complications that resulted in additional hospitalizations. The family thought the treatment had cured the cancer. Unfortunately, in January 2026, the cancer had returned and is now inoperable. Once again, their lives were turned upside down. Radiation, chemotherapy and a PARP inhibitor to help maintain his condition and prevent the cancer from growing and spreading. The ongoing medical care, deductibles, co-pays, medications, travel, and many non-covered expenses have created an overwhelming burden. He is currently receiving pain management and palliative care support, which is helping improve his comfort and quality of life. When survival is measured in one, three, or five years, it changes the way you see time. Life’s Angels has provided financial assistance to ease some of the enormous burden allowing Domenick and Janellyn to focus on what matters most — spending meaningful time together and holding onto hope.
